Michael obtained his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2011 with an emphasis on advocacy and dispute resolution. He started a general practice, solo firm in Cincinnati, OH before relocating to the Twin Cities. Michael worked for a firm doing criminal defense for some time and then as a County Attorney doing civil commitments and child support as he developed his interest in estate planning. Michael left the courtroom and began work at Thomson Reuters prior to joining Groshek Law practicing estate planning.

Misty obtained her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2007, where she received her Certificate in Family and Child Advocacy. After moving to Minnesota in 2007, she began her legal career as an Assistant City Prosecutor before getting back to her family law roots where she was not only able to focus on family law, but also represented parents in child protection proceedings and handled some criminal defense work for the firm as well as the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.

Anna obtained her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, Anna clerked as a certified student attorney for the Washington County Public Defender's Office where she represented clients in bail hearings. After she left Washington County, Anna spent her final year of law school as a law clerk at the Dakota County Public Defender's Office where she represented juveniles in delinquency matters and adults in pre-trial matters. Anna was also a certified student attorney for the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoner's clinic at Mitchell Hamline, representing incarcerated individuals in civil matters. Anna graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2017.
