• Energy Star Benchmarking for your Building

  Just like different vehicles have different gas mileage expectations, buildings have different energy usage and patterns of energy consumption. You use more gas to heat your building in colder weather than you do in warmer weather. We use therms per heating degree day to compare warmer heating seasons with cooler heating seasons. Building Benchmarking enables you to compare your building to comparable buildings in your region. We benchmark your gas, electric, and water/sewer consumption.

  Price: 1.00 for every $100 of annual utility charges

• Lighting optimization review.

  What is the right amount of light. When is it time to replace my old lighting? You can't save more than "off" but can you do it safely? The right lighting improves employee productivity and wellness. The right lighting does not cause harsh glare or eye strain. The best lighting looks great and complements your surroundings.

• Appliance efficiency review

  We help you find answers to the following questions: How efficient is my appliance? When is it the right time to replace my heating/cooling or ventilation appliance? How much energy could I save by replacing it? Are there any options to replacement? I heard that some new appliances are not reliable.

• Solar Photovoltaic Evaluation

  Answers to the following questions: Can I put solar electric panels on my roof? How much electricity can I produce? Will the electric company buy excess electricity from me? How much will they pay me? How long will the solar system last?

• Solar Thermal Evaluation

  We answer the following questions: Can I install Solar thermal panels on my building? How much energy will they produce? Should I store some of the energy? How can I integrate that energy into my existing system? How long will the equipment last? Is there any maintenance?

• Water/Sewer evaluation

  We answer the following questions: How much water/sewer should my building be consuming? How much can be saved?

• Carbon Monoxide testing

  Is carbon monoxide present in my building? How dangerous is it? Where is it coming from? How can it be reduced or eliminated?

• Level 2 Building Energy Audit

  Executive (one page) summary of 8 utility improvements that will collectively reduce your total gas, electric and water/sewer bills by 15%. 25 pages of supporting documents that describe the condition, the problem, the solution/s and the expected payback.

  Price: 5.00 per $100 of utility bills (gas, electric and sewer/water)

• Building Recommissioning

  An Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy authorized building recommissioning agent will survey your mechanical heating/ventilating/cooling equipment.(HVAC) Observations, measurements and standards will be used to evaluate your HVAC system. Often the equipment is not commissioned properly when installed. Often the equipment is not maintained at optimum efficiency. Recommendations will be made to resolve the deficiencies. Most recommendations are inexpensive and the energy savings is quite large. Cost recovery on most re-commissioning studies is under 5 years. Xcel Energy will reimburse up to 75% of the recommissioning study. Centerpoint Energy will reimburse up to 75% of the gas part of the study. Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy both offer bonus incentives to install the solutions.

  Price: 13.00 per $1,000 of gas and electric costs.

  What is the best way to store electricity? Where should it be stored? How can I buy electricity for a discount? How can I keep my heat/lights on during a blackout? What incentives will help me pay for the equipment?

• Backup Generators

  How can I keep the heat/lights on during a blackout? What is the best fuel to use? What is the optimum generator size? Can I get a price break from the electric utility?
