Michael J. WeberAttorney at Law
Michael founded Weber Law Office - the predecessor of Weber & Nelson Law Office - in 2000. Michael's practice areas include health law, business and employment law, wills and probate, and trials and appeals. Michael has extensive experience handling matters involving the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, the Minnesota Board of Nursing, the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, the Health Professionals Services Program (HPSP), and other health and medical boards. Michael's has unique experience handling these cases from both perspectives: first, for the health boards themselves when Michael previously worked for the State of Minnesota, and now on behalf of healthcare professionals, who have been license defense clients of Michael's private practice. Michael started his law practice in 1993, as an Assistant Attorney General in the Minnesota Attorney General's Health Licensing Division. He represented a variety of health professional boards, providing legal advice and handling disciplinary cases dealing with incompetent care, chemical dependency/mental health, sexual misconduct, and fraudulent billing. Michael graduated from Stanford Law School in California, where he served on the law review's senior staff and was co-president of the moot court competition. He did his undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis. Michael is licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and California.

Nancy Lee NelsonAttorney at Law
Nancy Lee Nelson specializes in health law and business legal issues as a law partner at Weber & Nelson Law Office, a quality and client-focused law firm with clinical, regulatory and health law expertise. Nancy brings her clinical experience as a health professional and former health administrator to the practice of law. Her career as an attorney includes seven years in the legal department of United Health Group, a recognized leader in health care, and UnitedHealthcare, the largest single health carrier in the United States. Prior to UHC/UHG, she provided health care legal services, including medical malpractice litigation for hospitals and health professionals, health risk management and corporate compliance as well as staff education through a respected Twin City law firm. Nancy has completed training through American Health Lawyers Association and Hamline University to be an arbitrator through AHLA. Nancy works with her clients to identify their needs and then provides a legal product with sound and resourceful quality and understandable legal advice and recommendations tailored to those legal needs. She emphasizes risk management and compliance to prevent costly problematic future legal issues for her clients.
